Musky wins....takes the Huber.
Komets lose in shoot-out. Hodgy got the 1st goal of the game....had 2 points.....is on topline with Chaulk and Syro. Mac was back, Haun was back-up...pretty good game in QC...that place was freaking packed. Fan appreciation night in the Quad.
Flint sticks it to the PT, and now are 1 point out of 4th.
Will the Komets lay-down on Sunday to allow Flint into the playoffs? Hmmmmm....I better make my EBAY order for a Flint jersey.....dangit.
Flint-fan onn FYC blog said that local tv station said that the Generals will be back next year, didn't say what league, and that the NAHL team might play in a different smaller arena in Flint....Ice Palace? Not sure what to make of this news. My guess, Flint is getting an AAHL team.

I'm guessing Smolinski will get his back pay when I make my season ticket deposit.
I'm rooting for Flint to get in. I can't stand Skalde, but more than that Flint has faced more adversity than any other team and deserve a chance to play for the cup.
Flint needs to leave the league, so the league can leave us all.
Good for QC, being eliminated from the post season and still finding something to play for.
Oh, and congrats to the Preds!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hit I thought they game was sloppy, K's get up 3 - 1 and then that Idiot Ref took the flow of the game away from the K's. If we touch anybody it was a penalty. Thought the K's then went into cruise control. Welker calls a very close game and I think Al let him know how he felt. 2 of the K's penalties were for too many men and it was in the same period. How about Huck in the shoot-out skates in and lost the puck? Good to see Mac back in lineup shoulder seem to be alright as he gave it pretty good to Wrecker..Didn't take Hodgy long to score, but he really didn't fly around and hit anybody. He is a talented young player. QC had 5,000+ in attendance.

Flint winning and making the playoffs on Fort Wayne ice could be a huge loss for hockey in this town. It might attract someone to buy the Generals and keep that team going another year so we can all enjoy another go of it in this wonderful IHL.......
Flint winning is way too much for me to wrap my head around right now. Who owns the Gens? Do we? Conflict of interests? Who should we root for?
In my opinion, Flint needs to go to the AAHL, that league is that town's level at ths point. The economy sucks bad there, no support there like there once was, and I think we all deserve better.
Crack back on me if you want. But this is my opinion. We should be in a league with teams like K-Zoo, Toledo, Cincy, etc. We deserve the best team, and best league we can get. If the IHL could field a league that had teams and owners that were able to compete financially and realistically at this level, then I would have no argument, and I would be perfectly fine giving this IHL another go. But tell me how this league has improved, how has it gotten any better, and how can we go another year with situations like Flint, Dayton, and losing teams like Musky and K-Zoo on a yearly basis.
I might be barking up the wrong tree, maybe we are ECHL bound, or new merger of Midwest Hockey League bound....but I have no clue right now where this train is headed, and I am tired of it wrecking at every stop as it seems.
Players getting evicted and not being paid. Unreal. I thought that was over last year.

Kinda makes you wonder why the IHL hasn't stepped in and taken control in Flint like they did earlier in the year in Dayton??? I'll leave the obvious answer alone........

You know what?? We are all wasting our time wondering what is going to happen since most of minor league hockey is in turmoil. Just sit back and wait to see what happens in the up coming off season. Every time we hear a RUMOR we freak out and post long blogs about it. We cant control it and to speculate is just pointless. I agree with Blake on his points. The only thing I hope happens is that after this season ends is that it gets better no matter where we play. IHL ECHL CHL MHL whatever!!

Its like a jigsaw puzzle... I cant help if I'm walking by one thats unfinished to start picking up the pieces to get it done... Or like a mystery novel that has you guessing till the end, I dont put it down just because I cant figure it out by page 50, I keep reading...
