Mightbite, if you say you knew all along it was going to be Jamie Lovell, you will be banned for life. Period. If you don't have the guts to name someone beforehand, then please keep it to yourself. If you want to name names beforehand, then more power to you.

Or I could make a prediction that the Komets are going to sign a forward or a defenseman or a goaltender sometime this season and be as vague as that and then take a ton of credit for it when something happens. When actually, I didn't say anything noteworthy at all. But I'll take the credit for it.

This would have been a great signing if we played in the IHL2. Lovell didn't show much last year in Evansville, but they stunk. I'll give him a shot.

Blake, I'm real disappointed in the way you called out Mightbite. It was totally uncalled for. He has done nothing but add another flavor to this site.

Maybe he was right and maybe he was wrong, but here are the facts. He has been more accurate than inaccurate, and if you checked a few days ago, I posted that a new player ( didn't know who) was to be announced on Monday. Should I shut up, too.

Jamie Lovell is a stable middle of the road AA defenseman who probably fit the salary cap around what they were paying Warner. Nothing to get too excited about but not bad. He'll bring calm to the back end.

OK, seriously, what has he actually done? He has said the Komets will announce a new signing sometimes WITHOUT EVER ACTUALLY NAMING NAMES. How do we know he knew anything at all? We don't.

It's like saying I'm betting someone gets hurt on Saturday and then taking credit for it when someone does. Huh? It's all slight of hand.

There is no proof anywhere other than what he claims later that he actually predicted anything. If he was playing it for laughs, that would be pretty funny, but he's doing it in all seriousness, and he's not really doing anything quantifiable or risking anything by making the predictions.

If he wants to name names and is correct, more power to him and I will give him full credit on here. It's like the all-knowing Oz as long as you don't require proof. I predict the Komets will make at least five more moves this season, but I'm not saying who or when. Anybody care to join me out on the limb on that one? Too easy.

If Mightbite wants to email me the name beforehand and talk about it on the blog, I'll even allow that, but no more of all this general predictions. They are too easy to hit and then take credit for. How do we know he's right? We don't. How many times has he been wrong? We don't know that either because there's no risk to him.

You guys keep forgetting this is a blog of The News-Sentinel. There has to be some credibility factor involved because of that. OK, now go ahead and make all the jokes you want.

I have no problem saying it. I don't believe Mighty was talking bout Lovell. I believe talks with someone else broke down, despite what was said, and now Mighty's getting jumped for it.

How are we to know that the Frankes would confirm talking to a player? Are they allowed to do that, even with free agents? I would assume they wouldn't want to give away who they're negotiating with, in case another team finds out and offers them a better contract.

A lot of unnecessary hatred towards Mighty. I for one, welcome his posts.
