Wonder what the Dental Plan is like at SDI....
budda bump...
That said, have at me. I can handle it. :)
I understand where Blake is coming from on this. This blog is attached to an accredited media source. And it is attached to a respected journalist. One thing I will say for Blake, and you guys can prove me wrong... is that he doesn't engage in "unnamed sources" or "rumor has it" or the famous ESPN "a player who did not wish to be indentified said"... He writes a story, he puts names to the story.
Vague rumors are rampant on all sorts of other hockey forums. I get why he doesn't want that here.
Now... don't be surprised in an emergency if Brandon does not suit up for this team again, assuming he stays in shape.
When I have a name to ask the Frankes about, they are up front whether they are talking to them or not. The deal is, they are not allowed to front the name themselves, but they are allowed to react to specific questions from accredited media sources. And they have. That's how I broke this summer that Smith, Mangos and Milam were coming here.
Blake, I've got no dog in this fight but the way you called out Mightbite was childish and classless. He is hurting no one, certainly not the integrity of your blog or newspaper. I enjoy his contributions and quite honestly have some of the same beliefs he has the guts to write. Leave him alone.
Glad to sign my name,
Kevin Ensign
We know who the Blog Suck-up is....sheesh Snuffy, you got something right there, over a little, by you nose more.....
LOL
Good for you, Kevin. I respect that.
Blake Sebring is a pen name...pffft....he ain't kidding no one.
His real name is Blake Bird.
That was pretty shady to call him out like that. Who cares one way or another if he is right or wrong. It makes for good conversation and it's not like he is a Komet employee. This is a freakin blog people, not the Constitution. Settle down.
I support Blake! He does a great job. Don't anyone be picking on the man or his dad.
Just for the record I am not doing the bus trip to Evansville. So quit e-mailing me or calling me. I really don't even know who is.
While this is hosted on the News Sentinel website, it is a blog. It's made quite obvious who the author is and who the reader/commentator is, if someone can't tell the difference between the two they have more problems than just that.
Point being, the blog needing to be credible because it's on your company website, while true, only applies to you. No one (that incldes your bosses and 1st time visitors) are going to get upset if Joe Schmo posted a player was coming here and it doesn't happen. I get it, you're jealous that the man behind Mightbite can say whatever he wants and if he's right (which he has been more times than not) looks great and if's he's wrong it's no big deal while you have to be 100% right, 100% of the time but the difference is...That's your chosen profession! You selected this job and the responsibilites that come with it.
Real classy calling out your own readers...How'd that work out for Cohny? He has what, 6 people left over there? Lighten up, champ
Do people really read something on a blog, then say "The News Sentinel said that..."? If they do, they're morans to start with.
Blake, for a long time I've encouraged other bloggers to continue contributing their thoughts , even when I disagree with them. I only would ask them to be respectful of others. Even when Canuck told me to "shut up", I thought to myself, "well at least he or she used the word "please".
I'm not sure what Mightbite does is going to close down Fort Wayne Newspapers. I think that there are more people who regularly blog here will miss his contributions and I reject the notion that his "predictions" do anything more than add spice and a new source for conversation. Let the bloggers judge for themselves. I don't remember him ever using foul language or anything close to ill mannered activity to throw him off of here.
Oh, and by the way, I can't find anywhere on here that he took credit for this signing as it might have been better for you to have waited instead of you launching your preemptive strike.
"Let the blogger be aware". We all have the right just to skip over the contributions of those we don't agree with.
Thanks for not throwing me off. In spite of today's thoughts, I do enjoy my time exchanging thoughts and opinions with other people on here.
Now I'm going to take Canuck's suggestion and just shut up for awhile.
i understand, Alan, but I have a responsibility to protect The News-Sentinel in this, even though yes, it is a blog.
You are correct, I should have said Please and I will add that to the post. I was wrong for that and I apologize.
Guys, I don't want Mightbite to leave, I want him to add to the credibility of the blog, which I believe he can do.
The only problem I have is his taking credit afterward when there's no way to tell if he was accurate. If he is accurate, more power to him and my sincere congratulations. If he's not, then he has to take the consequences like anyone else would have. Personal accountability.
Sad thing is, even when someone or some site brings solid info to this site, its still shot down, ridiculed, trashed and then ignored when proven true, especially during the old IHL2 days...
But there is no way to tell what is credible and what is just a lucky guess from throwing crap against a wall when information doesn't come with credible sources cited.
Team Blake. (Shirts soon to follow)
Personal attack, maybe.
Too far, maybe.
Valid point, absolutely (<--outweighs the previous two combined).
Oh...
Allow me to congratulate Brandon Warner for contributing to three championships and for doing it while being under the even intense microscope that comes with being a hometown player.
Sure, I'll admit I was wrong on some of those, but I didn't remove them from the blog. I let those posts stand here for discussion, just as I'm doing with this one.
Never said I was perfect, and never claimed to be.
I just have a mandate to be careful with unnamed sources because this is a newspaper blog. It's part of the job to challenge anonymous sources and their credibility.
And gee, I wouldn't know anything about receiving personal attacks on the blog, either.
Still, I probably could have worded that better or just have included it in a pesonal email to Mightbite.
Well getting back to the subject of the post...I for one am ecstatic to be turning the page on the "Warner Experiment"! Not to be confused with anything personal about Warner(since I don't know him personally)I really wanted to like him as a player because he was local but...enough is enough! He has killed us more times than not and he was given more than enough opportunity to show us differently but it never happened. Good luck with your new job, it sounds like an awesome opportunity and good riddence to all the sloppy passes and missed pucks at the blue line!
You are all so full of Krap I don't know how any of you can breathe.
Sounds like a Job for Enema Man!!!!
Where in the Krap is that Guy?
What a Poop Head!!!
Who cares if he takes credit for it? Is it really that big of a deal? Is credit on this blog that big of a part of your life that it is all you have to hold on to? That is both hilarious and sad.
Wouldn't it make the paper look worse if mightbite were to announce all these names and be wrong than if he didnt say them?

Best wishes to #9, thanks for the memories.
Mighty is a big boy, i think this is just something to get the blog hits up anyway.
we will win a game this year, i'm just waiting until it happens to take credit for saying it!
i'll bet a whole yardbird this thread tops 100 comments!
Schebig, can you post details of the bus trip, will you bring sandwiches?
WOW!!! i've got nothing to say. BULL CRAP YES I DO. i miss Warner already.and good call Blake!!!
Wow, i missed alot. Best of luck to Warner and his new career. Should be less stressful. Hope no ones feelings are hurt(mightbite), just a product of perhaps anything. Hope divorce papers are shredded. Misunderstanding, or not, I hope Mighbite continues aswell as everyone else. Im not as vocal on here since recently but everyone chips in and shapes a good picture. I havent been fortunate see a game live or even seen the coliseum since 2004 so I appreciate everyone on here and there comments whether true or just to be funny. We all have a different approach and deliver to balance everyone. Reading "Tailing the Komets' is a daily routine when I am able. Signed, Geoffrey Sark
Wow an explosion in K-land !!!!
