Tailing the Komets

That was historic

When Colin Chaulk, Matt Syroczynski and Leo Thomas scored consecutive goals in 39 seconds during the third period Friday night, that broke the Komets' all-time record of three goals in 45 seconds set Nov. 22, 1962 against Sudbury.

Nice win. Took care of business tonight.

Leo, OC, PC looked dominate again tonight. That line looked dynamite.

Then Chaulk and SYRO exploded. Looked good.

Chewy plays his role well. I like him Huk and Schrocky out here grinding.

Anyone else see Boucher getting into playoff form at the end of the game tonight? First he was jawing at his teammates and Chewy was barking back, I thought that Chewy was going to throw down with him at first. Then after BWs 3rd Gems assist....kidding or not, Boucher directly shot the puck at him as he was skating along the boards and nearly hit him in the head. Boucher then skated off the ice at the end of the game like he was ready to destroy the locker-room or maybe even he hustling so he could get to the Movies in time??? Either way. Boucher is playing with that edge again. Wonder if he and Bert might have words again?

Dayton is very bad.

Phillips needs to play defense. Why on Earth is he playing forward? Really? I know why, but good gravy, this is just getting silly. Let me post the Defensive Pairings.

Phillips-DeAngelis
Rodger-Bertram

Let BW play forward. He is versatile enough that he can skate as the extra forward in spots, and give the D-men a break on ocasion. That is what makes him valuable. He is versatile.

I saw Jaromir Legault cheering his heart out for the K's tonight. He is our good luck charm in the crowd for sure.

Luc Aquino.....please sign him for the playoff run....and we can defend the title, make it 3 in a row, keep the trophy for us in the last season in the IHL.....and keep out of the hands of the FuryHacks who are waaaaayyyyy over the salary cap as they are jumping out of this league.....we sign Luc, and we retain the cup, and stick it up the FuryJacks....well....you know. Great idea I think. Let's go all out to win this one.

To answer my question.....it is a rest issue right now I think. Give the elderly their rest too, please...LOL

Now that you mention it, I did wonder why Boucher skated off so quickly at the end of the game instead of letting everyone pat him on the head as is customary.

After going ahead 7-2, it seemed to me that the K's just stopped skating. One trait this team has had the whole season is a lack of discipline.

I'm sure that Boucher had some choice words for the team. You know, when a team quits playing they really leave their goaltender exposed. A pretty well played game by the K's was kind of spoiled by the last couple of minutes.

Hey Hit, why did you bring up Luciano Aquino on the other thread? Also what kind of news have you heard about the ECHL, CHL rumor? Do you have any info on Aquino? You're right. He would make a vast difference but I'm sure that the K's could not fit him in.

If you have any "news" I'd like to hear it. I promise I won't hold you accountable but I've learned to give your announcements a lot of consideration as you've been right quite a few times.
