Tailing the Komets

That was no goal

After killing off two Fort Wayne power-plays to start the third period, Muskegon took a 4-3 lead on a disputed goal. The Fury's Rafal Martynowski chipped the puck on the Fort Wayne net, and Komets center Matt Reynolds whipped it off the goal line before it went completely over. Hawthorne consulted with the goal judge and then ruled the puck was a goal.

I am sitting directly on the goal-line and Reynolds whipped the puck away before it was more than halfway across the line.

On the radio Bob was surprised that the 4th Fury goal was counted, however he did not put up much of an argument.

1-15 on the PP is just horrible, and we had 4 in the third period. Why don't we try to rough these guys up some? We have the most physical team, but I really have not seen us flex any muscle. We have out shot them 81-38 and what happen between Bert and Boucher is and absolute disgrace no matter who is at fault. Why the K's agreed to this type of format is beyound me. It should have been a 2, 2, 1, 1,1 and they should have made it work period.

Did you realy expect anything else from Mr. Hawthrone. Three 5 on 3 powerplays. Everytime we got the lead kind of lets you know just who he wanted to win.
