Tailing the Komets

That was something

I'm not sure they could play much harder considering the circumstances. 13 skaters for half the game, and they still out-shot them 46-30. They were totally spent in the locker room, but they were still ticked off at giving up a point. I was in the locker room 2 1/2 hours before gametime and just about everybody  had an ice pack, or a splint or was getting stim, and that's just the guys who played. There's about six guys on this team who should probably be sitting in the stands with their injuries. One of the leading scorers has a broken finger and can't even hold his stick correctly.

That was simply an amazing effort with seven rookies.

I was extremely impressed with everyone, from Lewis, who was cut 4 days ago for MVL....boy he looked good..MVL looks good...I'm so impressed with Tarantino, he's a keeper, he's solid dman, not big, but man, he has a head for the game...considering what they were up against I was impressed tonight...Way to go Komets

Listening to Chase's broadcast, I liked what I heard. Everyone knew this would be a tough one with the depleted line-up and being the third game in three nights, but they were fighting hard for it from beginning to end. As a fan, I'm happy that we got a point out of it, but I'm especially glad to hear that the players themselves aren't content with that. If they can keep playing with this much fire, this much urgency, they won't have to be.

I expected 0 points this weekend simply because this team is so banged up, my hats off to all of them for getting 5 of 6 points.

If we are this banged up and getting 5 of 6 points from the 3 other good teams, imagine what we could do when we get healthy again.

I was kind of surprised the fans didn't give the guys more of a reaction than they got. When's the last time the fans cheered after a great shift, and there were plenty of opportunities tonight. Last year they used to talk about how the fans wouldn't let them have an off night, and this year... Not so much.

I remarked about how quiet it was during the game last night. I think you could have heard a pin drop there for a while. Great effort though. I'm very happy with 5 out of 6 points for the weekend.

BTW - is it Shaf who's playing with a broken finger? He made so many great moves last night around players only to miss getting off the actual shot. He just didn't seem to have the power (or the energy!) to get it done.

wasn't a normal hockey crowd, i usually recognize the "regulars" around me but last night the sections were full of new people(one nighters), probably season ticket exchanges.

Burgee,

My section (206) had a lot of the same as you. It's kind of difficult to cheer when one is always leaving your seat to get popcorn, etc. when we're trying to watch the game.

It was also a Scout Night.

The guys really played well under the circumstances.....to come back from being down 0-2 to force OT and a shootout. Nice job.
