We're No. 1!

An odd little list of state rankings has been published called the United States of Shame. It purports to identify what each state is worst at. I don't want to take all the credit for the No. 1 ranking we got, but I will say it's nice to see that ll my hard work paid off:

A strange list of state rankings came out recently called the "United States of Shame Chart".

From the state with the ugliest residents to the anti-social state, several different research agencies composed the map that lists each state's worst statistic. Indiana is the "Least Green State".

Some Wabash Valley folks are shocked at that label.

"I was somewhat surprised. Because I feel like Indiana is doing more than their fair share of promoting sustainability and green living," Director, Custodial and Special Services Facilities Management at Indiana State University, Paul Reed said.

Other states around us: Illinois leads in robberies. Kentucky has the most per capita cancer deaths in the nation. Michigan has the highest unemployment rate. And Ohio is -- are you ready for it? -- the nerdiest state.

Leo:
I suppose a LOT of that "least-green" aspect must be due to ALL those boomcars that were formerly POS cars from the 70s and 80s tolling about the state.
Plus, we get all the "castoffs" from those other states you mentioned...flawed as THEY are.
I think Indiana more than deserves this dubious distinction.
