You should have said it three times Brandon! Would have been appropriate. LOL. How cool is it that Pat came up with that video for this week about an hour after he was named POW? Gotta love synchronicity!

Best part of that Gascon goal was how the play was set up. I love how in Bingham's systems instead of having the Komets position themselves to block the passing lanes, he has the Komets go directly at the opposing player to force the pass. In this clip you see two Komet players go straight at the Hound player, forcing the cross ice pass where Gascon could pick it off for a break away. I remember hearing Bingham preach this style in camp, it's great to see it pay off.

KW I hope you will not mind me stepping in with something here. The article below shows the new beautiful arena in Kansas City and talks about their attempts to lure the NHL back.

The Problem is with that article is that it's alomst a year old. I know Kansas City wants a NHL franchise. Problem is, 1) the NHL hasn't talked expansion. 2) the Pens are the only team talking about a possible move and that's even on the backburner because of the new ownership, the unresolved slots situation, and the fact that the team is actually doing better this season. If KC is set on getting hockey soon, here's a proposal. There's a NHL team (the Blackhawks) that want to move their AHL Franchise out of Norflok. Instead of putting it in a market with a team already and not likley to support it i.e Rockford. Put the team in Kansas City, see how it does. IF crowds come out well enough to support it then maybe a NHL franchise can move in at a latter date.

Greg the reason I went searching for something was they had one of the "insiders" on the fan590 this morning and he said that Kansas City is going to make a strong push for an NHL team using the Nashville business model. All things considered the Preds have become a stable if not profitable franchise and apparently there are people in KC that think their business model will work there too.

BTW if the Penguins do move, the owner is going to do everything he can to bring it to his home (Kitchener/ Waterloo) which is one of the fastest growing areas in Canada and also one of the best economic markets.

IT's a good article and it sounds like Del Biaggio has a sweet lease deal, But the problem still remains he's got no team, and it sounds like he's likley to get one until at least the start of the 07-08 season. The only way the Pens move for next year is if the city of Pittsburgh drags it's heels even more on buliding a new arena and Mellon insists on a long term deal the Pens can't afford. If the Pens can do something where their in for the short term then I see the Pens being in Pittsburgh at least another two to three years or longer if the arena can get built. No other hockey team is looking to move and the league won;t expand. Too crowded as it is.
I don't care much about the NBA so whatever happens happens.

I hope the Pens do not move.
As far as NHL expansion, Oklahoma City would be my first stop in the USA. I would also entertain returning a team to Hartford. With the new NHL economics they could make it.
All that being said, the fact that there is no team in Winnipeg is a crime.
