Here's some of Al Sims' post-game press conference:
"We didn't bear down on our chances, and Kalamazoo doesn't need a lot to score for whatever reason against us. They make the most of their opportunities. Tough loss. We ended up in the same place we started the weekend, and that's unacceptable.
"But the guys played hard and created opportunities. That's all they can do. If we can't finish at home, we can't finish at home. That's been the story all year and it continues tonight. We get eight goals on 13 shots in the third last night and not enough tonight.
"There's nothing we can try. You can try to create offense with your systems and stuff. You get a guy like Mathieu Curadeau right in front of the goal. All he's got to do is lift it over the goaltender's pad, and he can't do it, but 30 seconds later it's in our net. Huge turning point in the game, and our best guy didn't bear down. P.C. Drouin, the end of the game, walks right into the slot, hardest shot in the league, where does he shoot it? Right into him? He doesn't bear down. The guy is 5-foot-6, do you think we put it under the crossbar maybe?"

Couldn't say it any better than what Al did...PC just completely blasted right into the chest of Tapp just terrible. He had a clean break away. One other person I would point out is Pence -2 Kzoo third goal was him not staying with his man and gave open a wide open net to shoot in and his other blunder was him trying to be Bobby Orr again..When he plays a simple game he is fine when he tries to do too much he is terrible. What we are experiencing at home is just un-acceptable if anyone thinks this is a championship team is mistaking...Championship teams win at home consistantly and that is something we clearly can't do with or with out Chaulk
Wrong, it was not Pence at all. He had to come over and try to cover up for Boulay who got beat. He had no choice, and Al said he did the right thing. Same thing with Holladay's goal that he deflected past Nick. Not his man, but again, he was trying to get over to cover for someone else.
Uh-oh. Al's getting sarcastic. Not good.
Well from my view look like all Pence, but if Al said it wasn't then I am wrong...I will take back what I said about Pence but I wish he play the simple game because that is when he is sound...
Whether the 2nd kzoo goal was deflected or not...that goal should of never been scored. Bad goaltending by Boucher..went right between his legs...
IMO, I thought that Boulay played a good game tonight. I thought most of the team played a good game tonight. I agree with Mark though, the second goal was on Boucher, right between his legs.
Disagree with both Mark and Charlie the 2nd goal changed direction because it hit Holladay. Boucher had no chance on that one..
My popcorn was stale, the nacho chips were too hard, I asked for extra cheese and barely got a drizzle, my regular parking spot across the street was taken and I got there too late and didn't get my free handout, I didn't get a rubber chicken or a foam light bulb, my chuck a pucks weren't firm enough to chuck em from the cheap seats, the lady didn't roll my number in the dice game, but it sure is nice to see the guys coming back from injuries and getting in game shape."I'm so happy, I'm so happy"
Gotta love Big Al throwing players under the bus. The fans on a blog mention one players name....and it is on. LOL
The second goal was deflected off of holladay's skate and then boucher let him hear about it. Did anyone else notice at the halfway timeout that boucher skated right over to the bench and it looked like he was apologizing to holloday or taking to him about something. Other then that i can't remember the last time i saw an empty net goal go the other way. That is when you know it wasn't your night!!
