Tailing the Komets

What Al Sims said

``The penalty shot was for Bobby Phillips falling on the puck in the crease. You cannot cover the puck in the crease with your hand, body, anything. It was the right call, and Bouch made a surprising pokecheck which he never does. I'm sure Robinson was as surprised as anybody with not even getting a shot off.''

On the late altercations:

``I was looking for Steve Fletcher. I thought we were back in the 90s, but we didn't have No. 77 on the bench. I thought Cescon did a great job on both his fights tonight. Bobby Phillips, Danko, Molle, all the guys who stood up at the end of the game did a great job. Richards is probably the toughest in the league or one of the toughest and he jumped Kaleigh a bit. They are all going to get suspended, I'm sure. When you get 10,000 people in the building, you can't write a better script, I guess than a penalty shot with 2 seconds to go. It was quite a matchup of the two teams.''

Sims makes a strong point.... The toughest cat in the league (before Mirasty) had to resort to jumping Schrocky... Pathetic. The whole squad got brought down by Magers' fit.

Blake, there DEFENSEMAN, Martens, scored 4 goals in one period. Have you ever
heard of that in professional hockey? Could you reasearch that to see how often
that has been done before? I can't remember anything like that. By the way, he
was a minus one for the night.

It's happened twice by Komets: Mike Penasse, Feb. 12, 1978 vs.
Grand Rapids; Frederic Bouchard, March 2, 2001 vs.
Kalamazoo.
