And no, this doesn't necessarily have to do with hockey.
I'm thankful to have a job, a great family, a wonderful girlfriend and all of you bloggers/comedians. LOL. And I'm thankful to have a hockey game tomorrow night that I can take my family to.
I'm thankful Hit Somebody can't control his addiction to caffeine, that Jungle Monkey, RunningKomet and JR keep me on my toes, that Alan writes more than I do, that red-headed hockey chicks blog together but don't sit together at games, that Snuff realizes how lucky he is in marriage, that Schebig, Larry and Tim know that they are missed on here, that Mightbite always tries to bite off more than he can chew, that Wendy has come back to the blog, that I know Janice will be making up a new sign come spring, that Harley is able to keep up with his boys because no one else can, that Heather is a baking fiend and friend, that Bob keeps getting great grades, that Game Misconduct has a real chance to get healthy this year, that Steve always (e)mails in a voice of sanity, that KometKrazy, Bill, AndySherman and Breslyn always show plenty of spark here even if the game we just saw did not, that Bill still sends me insightful emails, that Mike in Toronto is hopefully coming to town again soon, that True Hockey Fan must secretly really love us or he wouldn't spend so much time here, that Dan is such a great coach and is so dedicated to the game, that Chad Ryan is such a fantastic photographer, that Hoss always has such wonderful perspective that hockey isn't as important as life, that Salvucci, DWyss and Shane have become such a great friends, that JB, Andrea, Rob, Rick, Ggeiselman and Stratocaster78 truly understand what this blog is really all about and have contributed so much to it, that Bam24 is finally off the market and the rest of us single guys might have a chance now, that Melissa is one lucky lady, and, finally, I am thankful for Burgee for foo-foos, funny little pills, insomnia and odd pictures showing up in my email. 2011 is going to be a better year, my friend.
Thanks to you all, and remember, I know all of your real names. Bwa-ha-ha! Bwa-ha-ha!

I'm thankful to have my health back after a pretty big scare, a great family that includes my quickly growing offensive-minded d-man who will play pro somewhere someday very soon, a job that keeps me even though I missed lots of work this year, and last but certainly not least, very thankful for the sport of hockey, which has given me lots of new friends and a reason to try to stay well and out of the hospital!! Have a great weekend, and Go Komets!!
I am thankful for the people I have in my life including a wife who is much better than I deserve and a very good friend we all know and love who loses more and more hair everyday while working hard to make sure we have some entertaining reading both in print and in cyberspace.
I am thankful for having a wonderful group of friends and family, especially Kathleen who has been understanding when I have my face glued to either a textbook or computer screen at 3AM, the friendships I have developed with people I have met thru hockey and this blog, such as the RHHC, Blake, Burgee, Mr. Snufflupugus, Salvucci, CBJ71, and so many others....Of course, I enjoy interacting with everyone, even if I disagree with them, we can still be civil to one another...
I'm also thankful for the opportunity to continue my education....(Thank goodness for financial aid and grants!)After this semester, I will be 1 year away from earning my degree....Of course, I would be really thankful if I could find a decent job.....:)

I am very thankful for my family. With 6 kids(3 are stepkids) and 8 grandkids there is a lot for me to be thankful for. But I am especially thankful for finding out 3 years ago on Fathers day weekend I had a son that I never knew existed. We are really close and he has decided to serve our great country by joining the military and will going over to Iraq early next year. Everyone in my family loves him and is really proud of him. I will be taking him and my youngest son to the game on Saturday night. Win or lose I will just be thrilled to have both of my sons with me for time together. So if anyone here is going to the game Saturday have fun, be thankful and cheer the Komets on to a win.
Was staring to make my list of what I am thankful for when I realized everything was all from one source. Thank you God. Happy Thanksgiving.
Like everyone else here I am thankful for the family, friends, good health and life God has granted me, and for the participants on this forum who have informed me at times, amused me at times, and probably spiked my blood pressure just a tad at times, but always provided something to think about and consider.
Today, actually for the past week, my mind has been on the daughter and son in law of a very good friend (and Komet fan), Staff Sargent Kevin Pape and his wife Amelia, an Army Ranger who gave his life for our freedoms last week in Afghanistan.
Through our friendship and my wife's involvement with the Blue Star Mothers we have been able to assist at this time of need and have been granted the privilege of participating in honoring Kevin. Also today we (Blue Star Mothers) will provide lunch and snacks for the 30 Rangers who are here to put him to rest.
We live in a wonderful country with a tremendous amount of security and freedom thanks to men like Kevin. So today I'm most thankful for the men and women and their families who have sacrificed for us.
I know many of you will remember Kevin and his family in your prayers. If you could also through in a wish that the Westboro Baptist Church's bus breaks down on their way here to protest his funeral it would be appreciated.
I'm thankful for everyone in my life, that I have a job, and I'm most thankful that my son Jonathan keeps life in perspective, his willingness to battle though each day is a blessing in disguise. I'm thankful for Blake (my son) who keeps me on my toes...I'm thankful for my family who has stood by me the last year or so, as I have made many transitions in life. Thank you....Happy Thanksgiving everyone..
and GO KOMETS
Since this isn't about hockey. I am thankful for so much I can not list it all here. I really appreciate Blake (AKA Super Fan). His abilities and talents are so great. I enjoy reading all of your comments. It is nice to be missed and to some extent appreciated. May all of your families be blessed not just at Thanksgiving & Christmas but everyday of the year. May God Bless and Protect our troops were ever they may be defending our freedom.
I leave you with some words from Coach John Wooden; "Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while you reputation is merely what others think you are."
Have a very happy Thanksgiving!
I'm thankful for the CHL coming to town....and my family. And a short term job over the holidays so my 1 year old can have a great Christmas.
I'm thankful for all my mistakes and heartaches, because they've taught me valuable lessons. I'm thankful to have a dog who constantly reminds me that the world doesn't revolve around me. It revolves around her. I'm thankful to still have my parents, sister and two brothers, and I'm very thankful to have had a brother like my big brother Scott. I'm also very thankful that I still have a roof over my head and food to eat.
For God's Grace and the wonders that continue with family, friends, fans, media and all the chaos that distracts us yet keeps us focused on what is really important--being a team in something that is bigger than anyone of us can manage by ourselves!
A win yeah!
I'm thankful the CHL will get me fired for posting on a blog and then I can go back to buying a ticket and enjoying hockey again! :-)
Happy Thanksgiving everyone and thanks for the entertaining blog.
I'm thankful for all that GOD has provided all of us by letting us live in these United States of America, and all the prayers this last year for healing because of my injury in Jan. Also to have a good hockey team to watch ...
