Tailing the Komets

What did you think?

Komets are leading 6-1 after two peroids. Flint is flat-out awful. They had a 5-on-3 power play and gave up a 2-on-1 short-handed goal off of it. How ridiculous is that? They might be the slowest team I've ever seen in hockey.

Komets played a little better so far, and I can't say it's all because of how bad the Genera. They've been pretty solid defensively

I predicted 15-1, not off by much.

A couple of observations....

I agree Flint is awful. Really surprising because as we watch them warming up, they really do have a lot of good players on their team. Can't figure them out!! I might get bashed on this but I don't care... but we bring in a "no-name" FORWARD when we've got fairly capable forwards sitting in the crowd for what freaking reason???? I hope Al and the Frankes read this because this is mind-boggling to me!! We need help on defense and we waste our time with bringing in a forward??

On another note, I don't care how good of friends Mac and Littlejohn are, Mac (or someone) needs to absolutley beat the CRAP out of Littlejohn for taking exception with our "nonfighters". Huk totally did everything he could to not touch the goalie and Littlejohn attacks Huk and blasts him and nobody does anything. And Littlejohn storms off like we attacked him. In my opinion that's unacceptable and Big Al needs to take the leash off and let someone take care of business. I am pissed about that.

They guy to do that is on the 45 day IR for no apparent reason. He goes from being a healthy scratch to being put on the 45 day IR he must have stub his toe on the way to the rink on Wednesday.

ToeBlake,

Please quit giving Olivier so much grief. I know for a fact that he wants to be able to play, but has not been cleared by the team doctors.

Not giving Legualt grief want him on the ice to. I want Legault to play because I know for most of the year the kid has been hurt. I just hope they are not doing what they did to him last year.

Gravelle is getting the shaft. Why bring in another forward that looks like the rest of the forwards we have? The only guy we have that gives 110% every shift and makes body-checks is Gravelle. He might not put up huge points, but the contribution he gives the team cannot only be measured by point totals. You have to have solid role players. And I think Gravelle is that guy.

Tarantino has to be hurt? He came in and looked like our best D-Man and now he sits in the crowd while Jay Holliday has to be carried by his pairing every night? Odd.

You wanna a take a real chance and shake things up, sign a guy like Don Parsons and let one of the dead-weight veterans sit or go. At this point, it is worth a shot. Do you wanna just make the playoffs, or do you wanna win another championship?

Gravelle is hurt with a bad back; Taratino is hurt with what they are saying is a groin strain.

Hey Blake- find out why Legault is now moved to the 45 day IR. What gives? Is Sims that stubborn?

I will be interested to see who the scratches are tonight. I don't want the Komets to give up on Osman. I see something in him maybe some others do not. I am hoping that Chaulk can come back and the Chaulk-Osman-Shafronov line is re-united. I thought that Podelynk looked pretty good for a guy coming in cold to a new team. He was just as quick as the other players and certainly didn't "panic" when he had the puck. In fact, I think he was responsible for the Komets first goal last night as he forechecked well and kept the play alive. It looks as if Gravelle may be the odd man out. Don't get me wrong but I don't always believe the "injury" report. I am sorry to see Taratino off the ice. I think he has done a good job and maybe even provided a steadying influence to our defense. Legault is probably gone also. If he comes off the injury list I think the Komets will release him. As I have posted before; the Komets need an established sniper and a solid D-man. They need these two additions for more than the obvious reasons. What do you think? The Flint game is over and now things get serious again and I hope they rise to the challenge.
