Was that a better performance?
Everyone in the locker room was talking about how poor the ice was. Thank goodness they didn't try to paint it pink, or it might have been even worse. Yes, the pucks are frozen, too, but they were bouncing around like superballs tonight. Maybe there's just not much the coliseum can do with all the turnover from basketball to concerts to hockey.
BTW, one reason they didn't try to paint it pink was that would be a two or three-day job and there weren't enough open dates to get it done so I doubt the Komets even asked the coliseum about the possibility. That's life.

The Komet's performance on Friday night was better than recent games, but still not up to snuff. They seemed to overthink their offensive attacks and used one pass too many. As a result they ususally ended up losing the puck. The Komet's power play was just flat out ineffective.
