I really don't see the Komets going somewhere without the IceHawks and the Kinneys.
I don't think anybody has any idea right now.

I don't like the CHL rumor. That is insane.

Boucher played out of his mind tonight though.....how many goals were sure things that he saved tonight....at least 10 of them.....nothing to mad at there.
The Komets better find a way to score. And Rodger needs to be inserted into the lineup on defense. We need his defense and physical play. No offense fellas, it is the truth.
Is he hurt?

When isnt Boucher ticked??? LOL
The CHL rumor makes no sense with just 2 teams from the IHL going unless this is the emergency fallback for the K's to keep hockey in Fort Wayne next year...
The only thing that makes sense is the ECHL and if the talks have been less than cordial so far from what we're hearing then I could see them limping the IHL into another season if possible to make the ECHL work... If they can make the ECHL work then I could see the Kinneys and PoHo being a part of it with K-zoo, Toledo, etc...

Sit Woods and dress the extra D-man... At least then we have a back up if somebody takes a long penalty or a d-man gets hurt... IMO

That has to be the scenario JR. Nothing else makes sense right now. If we are to believe no AHL, then why on Earth would the CHL make any sense. Our only option is propping up the IHL another go, or working something out with the ECHL.

Sit Woods, dress Roger. Not only an extra D-man like JR says, but also some flexibility to move a d-man to forward if needed.

Well neither Mac or Woods skated much of shift in the 2nd or 3rd period tonight. I would be more inclined to sit Mac with a broken nose than Woods at this point. Nothing against Mac, but he is not 100% and I can tell he is having trouble wearing the full cage and seeing the puck. I know some of you have an issue with Warner but I think he has played solid in the first 2 games and he is a +3. He also has athletic ability and skates very good. Now since we are giving out opinions here I have never been a big fan of Danko. Athletically speaking he is very limited and it showed on PH first goal when Vernarsky went right around him. Danko has to play perfect and he had another blunder late in the 3rd period. But those decisions are left for the Coach who knows what he is doing and has watched his players play in games and practice. Right now he feels that Rodgers doesn't give him anything better than what he is dressing now.
Pressure shifts back to the K's for Game 3 must hold serve Sunday should be a dandy of a game.

I don't think the problem tonight was at that end of the ice. They never got to a rebound or screened Sterling all night or had any forecheck. Giving up two goals in regulation on the road in a playoff game should be enough to win. You can't ask for better than that.

Rodger has played well this year, physical and sound. And was arguably one of our best players in last years playoffs....now he can't get a sniff?

No question the K's have to crash the net more and the PP has got to find a way to get the puck down low everything is up top and on the perimeter. The turnover or bad decision, however you want to look at it, was costly tonight but that is how OT games are usually decided.

I am not saying Rodger is not a good player and he played last in the play-off's because didn't we have some injuries on the blue-line? Had Warner been healthy last year maybe Rodger's doesn't play. All I am saying is there is a reason why and we will never know that reason. We as fans only see the games, but we don't have access to practice, meeting sessions, etc. Evidently there is something there that has made him the healthy scratch this first two games. Perhaps that will change for Sunday with having back to back games. I am sure if he is given the chance to play he will play well and hard just like he has done all season. The nice thing about this is that Coach Sims has options and all of them are good options because of the type of player the K's have.

That was probably the worst overtime turnover/cough up I have witnessed in all my years watching hockey. Dupuis didn't even look when he threw the puck over.....a 20 year vet can't make those mistakes, you expect that from a rookie.
