The Wings Stadium Complex announces that starting on Friday, October 7th; the facility will start charging a parking fee per vehicle for facility events.
The charge for parking will be $5 per vehicle and the method of payment on event day for parking will be cash. Patrons will also be able to prepay for parking for events at the Ticket Office. Pre-paid parking will be available through the Ticket Office; sold up until 5 p.m. on the day of the event.
“Parking fees have become a standard practice in our industry and we are one of the last facilities not to currently charge for parking,” said Paul L. Pickard, president of Stadium Management Co. “By implementing this policy, we are continuing our sustainability of the organization for years to come.”
A full interview from Pickard regarding the parking fee at Wings Stadium can be view at the K-Wings YouTube page or either of the K-Wings and Wings Stadium Facebook pages.

Bummer. Free parking was one of the several perks to Wings Stadium. From what I read, sounds like it's still free for season ticket holders, which is nice.
See what happens when you go to the ECHL? You have to pay for parking. Quit asking for it you spoiled brats!
That means that we should all ready be in the ECHL?
or
It means hold onto your seat, parking prices are going up!!!

Here is news about Kelly Miller
Kelly Miller is still only 32???
I thought he had retired and was coaching. Good luck to him.
I heart Kelly Miller!!!
One of my favorite all time Komets. I didn't say most talented or scored the most points.....I said personal favorite.
He motored around the ice and was exciting to watch. Always gave it his all and did the dirty work. Also was one heckuva penalty killer and a pest to the other teams.
I'd take him back here again. JMO.
Best of luck to KM.
You're not alone Hit, I was/am a huge fan of Millsy. I'd love to have him back here.
I keep running the numbers and the schedule through my tiny little head and for our conference by the end of Dec i'm coming up with 1 leader, 1 bottom feeder and the rest all in a really close race for 2nd.
the playoffs will go to the team that is most healthy. i need to see about 10 games to make a better prediction, maybe just 6, but i can't wait for it to start.
good for him! always been a fan of miller. dude can skate and bug the hell out of the other team. now he would be a vet i would like to see come back!
Couple of comments:
I read a few days ago on the CHL page that the Phoenix Coyotes were going to hold their training camp in Prescott, Arizona. They will hold camp in the arena that the Sundogs call home. The interesting part, to me at least, was the fact that attendance was free to spectators. How much fun would it be if the Coliseum allowed people to watch the Komets camp? Especially this year with so many changes(?) to the roster being made. Oldtimers will remember that fans used to be allowed in the Coliseum for years. Too bad the policy changed as I would sure like to be able to check things out.
Reacting to Burgee's post above, I have watched the Missouri Mavericks put together a pretty nice roster. They have announced three goaltenders as signed and, interestingly, Rob Nolan is not one of them. Does anyone know if Nolan has signed somewhere else? Their present roster consists of twenty-nine players so they still have a spot left.
I agree with the comments regarding Kelly Miller. Puhalski brought him to Fort Wayne and I thought he was a smooth, skillful player. The Komets never seemed to give him much of a chance starting with Pat Bingham. Little playing time, went to the SPHL, then coaxed back to Fort Wayne only to be traded like seven games later. He was traded to Chicago (Puhalski was the coach) for Andrew Lackner and scored on a pretty played and neatly executed breakaway against Kevin St. Pierre in game two of the Komets vs Hounds playoff series here at Fort Wayne. He intercepted a bad pass by Lackner ( again the guy he was traded for) and came in all alone and beat St. Pierre easily. Solid player for sure.
I'm not sure about the announcement of the TV show. I suppose anything to bring attention to the Komets is good, but I have my doubts that fans will have much of a chance taking part. I guess if I don't have something good to say about it, I should'nt say anything at all. So..........
We need more scoring.
the same kelly miller?
Yes, that is the same Kelly Miller that played here.
Kelly Miller was a very average player. I am confused about all the allocades here.
Must not have read my post very well.
" I didn
Where are the other accolades you speak of?
Thought I had read somewhere that Coliseum parking was going to $4.50 for this upcoming season.
I really doubt it's going up $.50...I've been to a lot of venues and I can't think of 1 place that wasn't an flat amount.
I'm trying to figure out where Nolan is signing, if anywhere. He was spectacular for us last year, and him not being on the roster as of yet is disappointing to say the least.
Those fools are already as slow as molasses in December, can you imagine if they had to handle coins. Pass. Just jack me for the full five bucks, Randy.
Johnny Appleseed is much more generous with his parking spots and the exercise hasn't killed me yet. When it gets too cold out, I move to a closer location.
Not that the parking rate won't go up but remember it isn't tied to the Komets. I think if it were going up it already would have, or will come in January or the beginning of the new fiscal year whenever that is.
It usually hikes up just before they drop the puck Steve. It did the last time.
