Yeah, sure

Ice rink to be done next month.

I'll believe this when I see it. Has there ever been a business in Fort Wayne that started by ticking off so many of its customers? Idiocy. Seriously, there were less people complaining than a

And the condos at Parkview Field will be done in May 2009. Oh! I am sorry they must have missed that date. Maybe 2010 no they can't get them done by than because they haven't even started on them yet. Would you settle for them by 2011/2012? This could end up being one of those "Hope & Change" kind of things we have been promised. We have heard all of this crapola before. I digress for which I will set in the Penalty Box next game. I said that before Burgee puts me there for a blog foul.

The rink could very well be done but not next month. Maybe in two or three months. But to Blake's other point, the management has been terrible there. They chase you off the ice after 50 minutes because they include 10 minutes of your hour to run the Zamboni. That's just the beginning of it as well. They have ticked off every just about every patron that uses the rink. Last night in fact was a class act. My son's team does a shoot out at the end of each practice and last night the zamboni drive moved the goal just as my son was shooting away from the goalie. The lady that runs the house league screams to people and the GM is no where to be found, she can't be bothered by anyone. Yeah they are terrible, I don't know how they manage their other rinks but if someone else had an ice rink in town they would be getting a lot of extra business.

How much does it cost now for 50 minutes of ice time?

Sorry to say, folks, this is what we have been facing for years here in Canada. As hockey and other sports requiring the Arena facilities get more popular in Ft. Wayne the demand will increase. Putting a premium on the available ice time means your hour now becomes 50 minutes to allow for "flooding the ice". In the past when I visited the Fort, I noticed that there wasn't the rush to get the different groups off the ice and the zamboni seemed to travel at a good pace to do a good job on the ice. I guess things have changed somewhat with the increased demand. Hope you will be able to deal with the situation and continue to develop great programs despite the 50 minute hour. Good luck.

It's not demand it's a greedy company trying to make as much money as possible by ticking off the patrons. BTW, to answer a previous post ice time is $279.00 per hour at the Mac and $250.00 at the Coliseum.

House league cost previous years 310 for season.
This year 310 for half a season but instead of practice every other week this year every week. BRING BACK THE PARK BOARD.
