Pardon me, but I expect that if you ask City Council or the Mayor's Office what their plan is for evacuating or making-safe the people in the event of a disaster whether it's natural or terrorist-related, they are still saying what they've been saying for years: "You're on your own."
That's a heckuvan evacuation strategy, don't you think?

And in the case of those few of us "down here" (that still give a rat's backside) on the S/E side...if ANY disaster would befall "us", the choice is simple:
BUY LOTS OF AMMO!
(think NOLA all over again...but smaller & more "intimate")
