Yes, I would agree that on the outside looking in, leading the league in scoring and having a 0 +/- would seem odd.  However, let's look at a couple of our own players.

Bobby Chaumont has played 51 games with 18 goals, 34 assists for 52 points.  His +/- is also 0.  Jamie Milam has played 51 games with 17 goals, 15 assists for 32 points.  His +/- is minus 4.  Podshendyalov's +/- isn't all that great either.

A forward needs to play defense also.  Sometimes circumstances play a role also.  One thing I do know is that I wouldn't want the above mentioned guys to play for anyone else than Fort Wayne.

Your point about Nick Boucher 's play after a rest is encouraging.  The fact that the first game back is the exception gives me pause.  It's a great possibility that his first game back will be against Evansville, there, on Saturday night.  These guys need to win every game against Evansville for the rest of the year.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who is confused about this, but what's the scoop with Smith?  When did this injury occur and didn't Blake say that he was to see the Doctor this morning?  Also, with the nature of relapses with concussions, why does everyone have so much confidence that Chaulk will be able to play on Tuesday?  Every target date set for him has been delayed by his inability to shake these "concussion-like symptoms". Why are they so confident now?

Play good team defense tonight and Saturday.  Win both games.  Stay healthy.
