Tailing the Komets

Komets win 5-3

Pretty remarkable week considering everything that happened. Komets won five of a possible eight points. Evansville and Missouri are also both winning today so the Ks can't do anything in the standings.

Great production from the forwards as everyone got at least one point but Chris Auger, which is ironic because he's been the most consistent scorer up front of late. Tom Mele, J.M. Rizk, Artem Podshendyalov, Kaleigh Schrock and Brett Smith scored for the Komets. David Starenky and Schrock were plus-3. Gerry Festa made 35 saves.

Every skater had at least one shot on goal as the Komets had 34.

A game total of five penalties for ten minutes, by far the lowest of any of the ten games these teams have played each other this season.  I'm of the opinion Bloomington got the message sent Friday night, loud and clear..
