Ks comeback falls short in shootout

The K's-Allen game was a great effort by the K's.  It was pretty evident during the first two periods that the K's were tired.  I thought Allen played like they were worn out also.  I have to admit two things.  1) When the K's fell behind 2-0, I thought the game was over.  I was pleased that the K's found the inner strength to climb back into the game. 2)  I thought Festa played a really, really good game.  In fact, I think he played a great game in the loss to Bloomington.  Pretty tough to ask a player to step in cold and stop a 5 on 3 for five minutes. The break away goal and the 2 on 1 break were not his mistake, but by the defense and their play.  In fact he stopped a penalty shot also.

I think that Allen put Clouthier out on the ice with Starenky just to fight.  The penalty resulted in a five minute major for Starenky and Clouthier, but more importantly deprived the K's of a defenseman for five minutes.  Already down to five defensemen, the K's were forced to play with four until Starenky was released from the box. Pretty good strategy.  If you were noticing, Clouthier only played about one shift a period.

It seems to me like the CHL has had enough time determining suspensions.  By now they have reviewed all the massive video on the incident.  They have had time to talk to the referee and the linesmen if needed.

If it were me,  I would take both Molle and Boucher on the trip to Tulsa just in case a ruling comes down on Tuesday or before.  At the end of today, both will have missed two games already.  Maybe one, or both, will be eligble to play on Tuesday.  It's too late now, as the team has already arrived in Bloomington.  I hope the Franke's were thinking ahead as this team will be totally gassed by Tuesday and could use a fresh player.

Without Chaulk and Bennefield, these lines are totally screwed up as now there is only one scoring line.  Say what you want about Bennefield's numbers, his assist total is good and other teams have to gameplan for him.  Not sure I can say that about Thomas.
