Seems like to me Benne keeps dropping down the lines. A waste of a good D-man if you ask me. I believe if you put Schrock with Colin or Smitty, the goals for will go up. Schrock always goes to the net and battles hard, wish other players would do that.

Confidence?  I don't think so, Al.  Swagger?  That is laughable, Al.  Let the referee's do the policing?  That is a pipedream, Al.

There are twenty games left in the regular season.  It seems to me that the Komets find themselves at a crossroad.

For most of the last eighteen games the Fort Wayne Komets have played as if they were "lost" on the ice.  It is hard to describe because it doesn't make much sense with the talent they have.  I guess the most disturbing part of all of this is the kind of goals they give up.  Most should never, never happen.  Way too many odd man rushes.  Way too many short handed goals against.  Way too many unacceptable (Chaulk's words, not mine) opportunities just plain given to the opposition.  Other teams seem to crash the net against Boucher and Festa at will.  Our guys?  They treat the opponents crease like it has HIV or something.

I am so very disappointed with this team.  It has the talent.  (Every once in a while they actually show it).  They gave up eleven goals in Arizona in two games.  They've given up nine goals in the last two games versus Dayton and Bloomington.  What happened to the team who played so well on the road?  Something is very, very wrong.

I love the Franke's but it is time they realize that this combination of players cannot turn the trick.  They need to provide the help, the spark, the impetus, to shake things up.  I hope they haven't waited too long.

Ya' know, the argument could be given that they are still in first place.  They are also just seven points from finding themselves out of the playoffs and not playing good hockey.  The arrow isn't pointing up.  It is pointing down.

Blake, what is the condition of Podshenyalov?
