Everybody was ready to go 10 minutes early today, including these three.
Blake, here is today's "CHL stupid question of the week".
Each playoff team was required to submit their playoff roster on Monday by 4pm. The Komets left off forward Jesse Bennefield, who on the CHL transaction page was listed "declared an unrestricted free agent". The exact same thing, and phrase were listed for Allen's Jeff Martens, Evansville's Karl Linden, and Missouri's Brad Good (Linden and Good being defensemen.
My question is this. Did teams have a chance to add those players to the roster before the 4pm deadline? Martens is not a bad forward and we know how short the K;s are with D-men.
Not a dumb question at all Alan, I was actually wondering the same thing!
I just hope the 2 amatuer players will be here soon, you can almost bank on the fact there will be injuries and it would be nice to have an infusion of youth and energy into the lineup if the need arises!
I am also really curious who the 2 players might be lol.
No, they did not. I believe Linden is hurt anyway, or Evansville wouldn't be trying to make it go with only five defensemen. I believe Martens is also in the AHL.
The picture doesn't work... or is it just me? I've tried on 2 different computers and neither will show the photo.
Sorry about that, Laurie. Should be working now. Don't know what happened before.
Thanks, Blake! What a ridiculous...ly awesome photo.
Classic, Just classic. Reminiscent of Bertram from a couple years back.
Eville is playing with 6 defenseman he is a 6-7 guy was a plus 1 in their first game
