I guess I don't care that much about the proposed change to the icing rule. I just hope it doesn;t come to the CHL (or ECHL, depending). The CHL linesmen frankly aren't good enough to make that call. Heck, they can't get offsides right half the time. As far as the hand pass rule, the proposed change seems extreme. To change from the defensive zone hand pass from legal to a minor penalty would be quite a change.
