He got three games, which includes yesterday's game. Bet that affects how the Komets set up their playoff roster which is due at 4 p.m.
Komets General Manager David Franke said they are hoping Bryant Molle can play this weekend.
Just so you know, IR effectively ends today so anyone on anything but season-ending-IR is eligible to play Friday, even if they still have days remaining on their stint. That means T.J. Miller and Bryant Molle could be activated for Friday's game. That will not happen with Miller, though, as he's dealing with a concussion. The Komets are hoping Miller might be able to play for the first home game, which is when Henley will return.
Maybe the Komets try to sign one of their two amateur players as a defenseman. They don't have to do that until gametime Friday, though.
What this really means is that the Komets will be keeping seven defensemen on the playoff roster, which they were likely to do anyway. That means a forward has to go, and Franke wasn't willing to tip his hand yet on that.

The only way I can see it effecting the roster is they'll be keeping an additional defenseman rather than a forward.
I'd go with the following 19 man roster
Smith, Chaumont, Vaskivou
Chaulk, Auger, Thomas
Rizk, Schrock, Thorne ........Mele
DeAngelis, Milam
Starenky, B. Molle
Henley, Lovell...... TJ Miller
Boucher, Festa
That leaves off Benefield and Dustin Molle. We all know Dustin is done with an injury, I'm not going to belabor the Bennefield issue.
Miller has got to be questionable after the concussion inflicted by the uncalled boarding via Brett Lutes before he cross checked Henley in the teeth.
If the K's bring in amatuer players, they need a good defenseman. Miller and Molle are huge question marks and Henley can't play the first two games...
I found an amatuer dman.. Have Schrock get on the horn to his alma mater.. Take a look at this guy Mr. Franke!

I was thinking which person to let go Thomas or Bennefield as well. I haven't seen a game in a few weeks and neither were that impressive when I saw the K's last time. Hopefully Molle's injury isn't real serious and we can get thru the first two games without Henley. I think Henley was lucky to only get three games, the way suspensions have been handed out this year, it doesn't surprise me that's all he received.
I'm not a scout, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn last night... but I hope the Franke's are tearing up the phones to get a good look at the best quality defenseman available.

Sorry JM, but there is no way I touch the top line with the way they have played the past few games. Chaulk and Vaskivou have realy clicked together!
Lutes got an undisclosed fine.
the chl would lose face if they had two champions in a row leave their league so we are getting the first taste of the anti komet assault by the league. look out for more...............and after this ruling on henley and the little fine on luttes i am now in favor of moving to the echl. go komets!
Lol @ the undisclosed fine. Did Lute pick up the tab when he and Hextall went out for beers after the game?
