The potential early home playoff schedule will not be too kind to the Komets.
The Memorial Coliseum has Disney on Ice scheduled for March 29 through April 1. There's a chance the Komets could open at home on Wednesday, March 28 and play a 6 p.m. game on April 1. The following weekend April 6 and 7, the Mad Ants are home so the Ks could play Thursday-Sunday again. Not sure that weekend will be an issue though because they'd likely be on the road.
They could play at home Friday, April 13 and Saturday, April 14 or Sunday, April 15. Elton John is in town for Saturday, April 21, but other than that, there are plenty of good dates available.
I asked the Komets about this last week, and they said they haven't even started looking at the schedule yet. Nothing they can do about it anyway.
Other than the first weekend, there shouldn't be a problem, and even that can be worked around somewhat.

Unfortunately, we're not going to hear much more about this until the season ends, in part, because the Komets may not have their seeding determined until the last day.
