Well, I guess that dashes my hope that by having D. Molle back would enable the K's to move Milam to a forward position.

Feel bad for Kangas.  Feel real bad for Starencky.  Unless the Franke's have something up their sleeves, it looks as though this is the team that will go into the playoffs.  I still think they need another scorer.

I would like to see Al Sims quit mixing his lines and and formulate three solid lines and stick with them.

Just as is the case every weekend, this has become a real important set of games tonight and tomorrow night.  Evansville ( 2pts in front and off for five days) going to Rapid City (4 pts behind and played twice on the road this week winning both games).  The Komets MUST WIN both games or the standings are going to get real ugly for the Komets.

They have been saying the 'correct" things all week, yet we've heard this talk before, haven't we? Let's hope this is the weekend where they back up their words with results.

I hate to see Starenky go on the DL and Mele not active either. I think their energy and willingness to play the body breathe life in to this team. I'm happy that D. Molle will be back to get some ice time before the playoffs, but I think another D man should be sitting. His number comes after 6. He hasn't impressed me at all other than a few goals. His turnovers in the neutral zone and lack of positioning around our net drive me nuts. From the groans in the crowd, I don't seem to be the only one that it bothers.

Bottom line is, we need to play well to finish the year. The schedule favors us and Evansville has a brutal schedule to finish with some tough teams fighting for their lives. I think we can pull out the number one seed if we just take care of business and not overlook who we have left. Hopefully the Komets come out hitting and play physical like Smitty and Chaulk have predicted. We need to score a lot so we dont have anymore freaking shoot outs. Go K's!

Not surprised by this, don't agree with it, but this has been there way have dealing with things when everyone is "healthy".  Mele and Starenky are two "rookies" those are the ones who usually go on IR to make room.

It is sad to see both Starenky and Mele on the IR.  They  add energy to this team.  This defenseman and this forward are not the reason that this team loses games. Mele has put up good numbers considering he has been the 10th forward all year and probably doesn't have a quarter of the time that the other forwards have had.

These two kids have a lot of talent. Both hussle all the time. It's a shame to see talent get wasted. They both have been here since the beginning of the year.  Now that it's the last couple of weeks before playoffs, suddenly they're not good enough.  They were, however, good enough to fill in while other people were hurt and the team remained in 1st place.  Let's see what happens now that they are not playing.

Hi sarah.  Maybe I'm wrong but I haven't seen anything about Mele on the IR.  He has been scratched the last couple of games but I thought he was a "healthy" scratch.  I believe that Starenky is the only Komet player on the IR.  For all intents and purposes he will only miss the Laredo games as he is eligible to come off the IR on March 20th (next Tuesday).

Sarah is correct about Mele. Dreaded stubbed toe disease or something like that. Could be fatal if not treated correctly.

Yes that is sad part for Mele because he is playing a lo better than a few guys but because he is low man he gets put on. I always wondered why production and effort are not part of that decision making process
