Tailing the Komets

Smith is a game-time decision

Komets' General Manager David Franke said they'll know after tomorrow's pre-game skate whether center Brett Smith will play tomorrow night.

If he's that close, he's playing. Smitty would probably try to break the arms of anyone who tried to hold him back.

If Smith is activated, the Komets do not have to release a player to make room for him on the roster.

I spoke with Smitty at practice this morning, and he told me he was a go for Friday! You're right, I wouldn't want to be the one to hold him back!! Looking forward to this weekend's action, will be a good and hard hitting game. GO KOMETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The key to stopping Evansville will be to frustrate and shut down Robinson.  That's it.

We did it once earlier this year when we were very physical with him and he ended up taking multiple slashing penalties.  Other teams have exposed this over the past 6 games or so.  If you look at the penalties when they lose, Robinson always has high sticking, slashing, or spearing penalties.

Pretty easy to figure this one out.  If we want first place, shut down Robinson.  If we let him dance around in our zone and don't put a body on him then shame on us for not exploiting this advantage.

Success for Evansville goes through Robinson, it is that simple.   We have much more balance top to bottom than they do.   Shut him down and take advantage of it!  Please!
