Tailing the Komets

So far...

It's been a completely different Komets team. They are up 1-0 after the first period on Leo Thomas' deflection from in front on Jamie Lovell's slap shot. Maybe bad news for the Komets, Chris Auger was hit in the corner by Evansville's Mario Boillard and has not returned. Before the shift was over, Kaleigh Schrock fought Boillard.

Komets have been irritable, aggressive, assertive and everything they weren't last night.

yeh but then the boys started playing like they did last night. no hitting and no urgency.  result? giving up 2 goal lead and losing in shootout.  nobody is afraid of the jungle right now.

And they still found a way to lose. Which is the only thing they are good at right now. I hope the ECHL has more hungry players the the chl.

lets get a clue    al sims isnt a 30 goal scorer whose only scored 6 and hes not a 30 goal scorer whose only scored 9 and hes not a guy who stopped hitting bodies in the third period.. put the blame where it belongs.  sims is partly to blame cause hes the coach but there are 18 guys out there who need to step it up and they did sat for 40min then they stopped.

That comes down to the coaching Sims, likes to play a defensive style when they get a lead and i think this team plays better when they play offensive. Yeah the supposed 30 goal scorer was a waste, but it still goes back to the fact that they dont play a consistant game which i think come back to sims changing the style of play. I might be a little harsh on Sims but its frustrating because i know this team can put up some big numbers and he wont let them do that.

The poor coaching last night was the faceoff before the final goal. Robinson had been beating Chaulk in the faceoff circle ALL...NIGHT, while Smith had been having success...they were both on the ice for the last faceoff...but who did Al send in?

Down where I sat I was saying, "don't send Chalker in" from the minute he touched the ice. Once I saw he was going in, I said, "Robinson wins the raw back, pass across, goal." Bing-bang-tie.

BTW...Robinson lost the next two faceoffs to Smith and Auger.

And...one-more-thing. Since he assisted on all but ONE of their six goals over the weekend...MAYBE...just MAYBE...we might want to think about knocking Robinson on his ass a few times!

PS - nice job on the glass Boucher.

I also hope the ECHL has fewer scoreboard refs. The chl has way to many.   I hope they do not do both leagues. :-(
