My vote would be for Brett Smith with Chris Auger a very close second. Both of these guys have been consistent througout the year and are obviously missed when they are not on the ice. They both play every aspect of the game at both ends of the rink. I give the slight edge to Smith because of his leadership this year. He could have easily been the captain of the team.

Henley, Smith, and Auger all deserve consideration.

I'm glad I don't have to make the decision. No matter how the players vote, more than a few deserving guys will be eliminated. During some years the winner was a fairly obvious choice. Not this year. Definite reasons could be made for many of the guys to win this award. Congratulations to all.

I think you could make the arguement for several players, but in my opinion this year it has to be Brent Henley!
His presence alone keeps teams honest and the amount of minutes he has been logging the second half of the season is simply unreal. I think without him, the defense and the team as a whole would take a major hit.
