Not shocked at all. There are to man options in the Chicago area for hockey. And if I was a resident espeically in the Hoffman estates area I would take my money to either the Blackhawks or Wolves. Then on top of that they have a junior team in the USHL. What are the chances the Frankes purchase the rights to the Express franchise....Wouldn't that eliminate having to pay an expansion fee. Even without knowing the cost for the expansion fee I would just guess that purchasing the rights to the team would be cheaper.
