Tailing the Komets

CHL suspends Henley for one game

He'll miss Sunday's game for a kneeing hit on Rapid City's Collin Circelli during Game 4 on Thursday. The hit came at center ice at 8:37 of the second period.  There is no suspension for a non-high sticking call on the Komets' Mike Vaskivuo against Rapid City's Riley Weselowski.

A fine perhaps not as bad as what happen to Schrocky after goal scored in which the CHL levy a fine. Henley is mark man with CHL after Dayton suspensions can't imagine Al or David are very please with CHL brass after this.

The CHL is such a joke league, they are so biased it's ridiculous! Can't wait to go to an established league that has no favorites...

The CHL does not want rapid city to lose this series, and they got tired of hearing them whine all the time. It is very obvious that the Komets are going to the ECHL, and if it wasn't decided with the Frankes, it is now based on how inconsistant this league is. If the hit warranted a suspension on Henley, why didnt Reeder get one? Answer: Rapid City is the CHL's baby. Period.

I wonder if Disney is interested in buying the CHL since it is such a Mickey Mouse league...what a joke series has become. Here's a thought...let the players decide the outcome instead of the league!

What a joke. There is absolutely no consistency in discipline in this league. I'm a hockey fan..not just a komet fan..its ok to knee someone after the play is dead but questionable contact with the puck carrier is a suspension? It's so obvious the league is not going to be fair in anyway to the ft Wayne organization.. what a bush league

While I do not agree with the suspenion for Henley at all, can we please stop making such a big deal about the "hit" the Schrock took after the empty net goal Wednesday night? I will admit that at the game, not seeing it live beacuse I was too busy watching Reaney run like a little sissy from Henley, I thought it was much worse than wen I watched it on the highlights.  It was more of his excitement over winning the game and the RC player not looking where he was going. The was no intent to injure and it was more about Schrock tring to get a call, which the way the game was going, I do not blame him. It is a part of the game being a showman and tring to get one of their's off the ice to better your chances of winning. That being said, he was dancing in the hallway after he left the ice, I think he is over it.

get use to the calls cause the chl will lose face if its league champion leaves the league two years in a row.  i dont think henleys hit deserved a suspension cause i doubt it was intentional but the h it of schrock after the goal was intentional even if he wasnt really hurt. the guy had plenty of time to get out of the way or even stop but he bee lined right for schrock. i hope we get a big lead tonight and then we can even some scores!    save my seat tonight cause we will  not be there until the second period. so all you hilljacks who like to pay cheap and then move down into other peoples seats stay out of the way!!

Just heard that the CHL may suspend Paul the Zamboni driver for tonight's game too. Upon review of the tape, appears he was speeding between the second and third period...David Franke is also under review for "taunting" for blowing the horn after every goal.
