If they win game three, they have a great chance. We are a much better road team. If they lose game three, no matter how well they play, it will be hard to win four in a row.

I say they grind out a close win in OT in Game 3 and go on to split 4 and 5. We win game six big and who knows what will happen in a game seven...

I love the attitude that Colin Chaulk is displaying.  His words are of a player who hasn't given up and feels that they can charge back in this series.  I, like so many others, feel that game one was just plain taken from them.  Game two was real disappointing, though.

The problem I see, (besides the obvious problem of being down two games to none in the series), is that while I congratulate Chaulk and others on their attitudes, the real problem is the same one that has plagued this team all year long.  They just don't score enough goals.  Words will not put the puck in the net, period.  Great attitudes will not either.  Until this team goes into the corners, gets in front of the net, and scores from down low, I'm afraid the results will be the same. It has been a problem the entire year, so I'm not sure how they do an about face so quickly.

It is perplexing to me why they have this problem.  The first line is doing great, the second line has struggled, but understandably so, with Smith not being 100%.  The third line has done a marvelous job checking the opponents top line and has chipped in the scoring column as well.

I'm not sure what to say about the defense/goal tending, except I'm real disappointed with Boucher.  He gave up a very soft goal in overtime and then an awful goal before he was pulled.  Incidentally, he wasn't a very happy camper coming off the ice when replaced with Festa and had some choice words for Sims.  He needs to keep his mouth still and concentrate more on his play.  It was obvious his mind was elsewhere. He is getting outplayed by Effinger.  With his antics of the last few years it may be time for Boucher to go. Sorry, but that is how I feel.

On another note, can anyone tell me if Chris Auger will get a suspension for game three after receiving a 10 minute misconduct and game misconduct for Abuse of Official at 19:22 of the third period?

This series isn't over yet K fans. Game 3 is a huge game for the K's. I can't wait for the puck to drop in Missouri and see what happens.

Have to take advantage of their PP opprotunities right now PP is at 16 % for play-off's and the PK is a league worst at 75%...If they are going to make a come back that is area that needs to improve and fast if you can't score enough goals 5 on 5 when they are a man down you have to cash in.

I gave up on them once back in 90-91...game seven with Indy and Lonnie Loach proved me wrong! So yes , I still believe right up to the last handshake...but could you guys make it a little easier on my nerves!?

I hate to be a realist but conventional wisdom would suggest we don't make it to the finals. Three consecutive home games in Missouri is a to big an obstacle to overcome.

If I were an analyst, I'd say it's not over yet. Considering that game 1 was essentially taken from them by bad officiating and how well the K's have done on the road this season, things aren't quite as bad as they seem. All the Komets have to do is figure out how to beat Effinger (and not with their sticks while he's sleeping). That being said, let's look at it from a different perspective. Being down 2 games means that in order to meet Blake's original prediction of winning in 6 games, they'd have to win the next 4 in a row. To win in 7, they must take 4 of 5, which doesn't sound a heck of a lot more likely, but let's say they win a couple, drop one, then win a couple. It is possible. But they MUST win game 3 at all costs. They absolutely cannot afford to go down 3-0.

Even Scott Hillman acknowledged that the Komets are outplaying his team.

If the Komets can start turning their high number of shots-on-goal into actual goals they will undoubtedly be able to overcome incompetent referees and outstanding effort by Effinger.

I'm not worried about Boucher. He's been awesome all season and just had a bad night.

I believe the Komets can do it!  Go Komets!!!

I agree with Wendy's assessment that we MUST win Game 3.   The K's have been an excellent team on the road, and if they can play that "boring road game" style of game it gives them a much needed advantage.

But regardless of the style of play, they must play smart, avoid the penalty box and find a way to get more pucks past Effinger.....

Just win....one game at a time.

They have the talent to do so but beating a team that closing matches them and a league that is doing what they can to keep them from going any further is a tough obstacle.

They way they have been playing on the power there is nope hope for this team. Also I am not sure why everybody is so high on Boucher he had a bad 2nd half of the season it's time for him to move on. Its a shame Festa has not been given a fare chance since he has been here. I think if this team wants move on to the next round they will need to improve their PP and take Boucher out and Play Festa
