Komets add two amateurs

The Komets announced Tuesday that two amateurs have been added to the playoff roster.
Forward Derek Roehl and defenseman Daniel Maggio will be eligible to play with the Komets under amateur status on an as needed basis.

Roehl (rail), 23, has recently completed four seasons of CCHA play with Western Michigan University.  Roehl finished this season with college career highs of 10 assists and 15 points in 40 games.  The Clinton Township, Michigan native helped the Western Michigan Broncos win the 2012 CCHA Championship. 

Maggio, 21, has completed five seasons of junior play in the Ontario Hockey League this year, finishing with Oshawa posting seven goals, 19 points in 66 games while accumulating 117 penalty minutes.  The LaSalle, Ontario native was selected by the New York Rangers in the sixth round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Both players will be available to the Komets for the remainder of the playoffs

It never can hurt to have extra players available in the playoffs in case of injuries, welcome to Fort Wayne guys!
