The CHL is reviewing requests from both teams for supplementary discipline from incidents in Game 5.
Total guesses here, but maybe they are looking at Mike Vaskivuo for another high sticking non-call, this time against Collin Circelli, and at Les Reaney for his hit from behind with no call against Leo Thomas. There might be others, or those could be way off.
I'll let you know when I know.

I feel like we are playing tit for tat here...if the league would be fair both ways...we would not have these problems! Not saying the Komets are angels...we have dished it out...but for crying out loud..this is hockey! Play the game!
Komets will Win tomorrow night and maybe henley will get a suspension for giving Reaney an early Tee time! Im sure Henley will get something for sitting in the stands last night!
I can almost guarantee we lose Vask, he has been instrumental in our Post Season and if the CHL has the chance to give the Rush the edge, they will.
AGREED!
All I can say is WOW !!!
I think it's time to have two referee's working the games. It's obvious one cannot handle the job anymore. The officiating has been poor at best. The calls have been one sided in this series, really hope the K's win tomorrow night.
The league needs to put this stupidity to rest. This stuff is becoming a joke, especially the way they have worded some of the stuff.
If Rapid City wasn't a bunch of crybabies we wouldn't be going thru this, play hockey and stop whining you bunch of sissies, just pack it in, your finished, take your beatings like men. Sissies, reminds me of Port Huron or Steve "cry me a river" Martinson.
Komets never do wrong in the eyes of there fans but if you do wrong you should pay for it and Steve Martinson will be Ft Wayne head coach next year in ECHL......
I agree with the 2-ref system. I live down in Indy, and in the USHL they utilize 2 refs during the playoffs. I know it may be cost-prohibitive during the entire regular season, but it is a good idea for the playoffs.
You guys are stealing my thunder because I already thought of proposing that in a column. Unfortunately, I doubt it would end much of the shenanigans.
Blake,
I have been a proponent of the two referee system for several years now. The last time we discussed this topic (which was awhile ago) you told me it would never happen due to financial considerations.
If you have changed your mind about this, I would enjoy hearing your thoughts about this.
Will never happen in the regular season. I'm wondering if it could happen during the playoffs.
Not in the CHL! Do you really need to be told why?
I haven't thought this out all the way through, but maybe a solution would be to let the trailing linesman be able to call penalties that are out of view of the referee. There would be no additional expense for the league and some cheap, behind the play antics would be discouraged.
Maybe the "AA" leagues could experiment with this during the exhibition games next season to see how it works. If acceptable, then I would use it for the playoffs. Maybe if it was found to be real successful it could be incorporated during the regular season games the next year.
Like I said, I haven't thought it out all the way through. Maybe some variation of it could be tweaked by smarter minds than me.
Hey Anonymous, I am just curious as to what you said about Martinson being the next Komets coach. Is this just what you hope for or think should happen....or do you some insider knowledge ?
Martinson certainly would be a great choice, he wins and is a great recruiter...plus his teams are physical and exciting!
Who really are the cry Babies is the question
Seriously Frodawg? They've had to repair the ice several times by the RC bench with all the water flowing out of it.
