Wait and see, I think. Not excited about it, but not against it either. People talk a lot about the old rivalries, but they were a long time ago. Nothing really stopped us from going to places like Kalamazoo and Cincy, so big whoop. Not to be mean, but is a Reading really more exciting than a Rapid City? Not to me.

If we lose a lot of the players we had this season, I'll be pretty unhappy. I just don't buy the idea the E is so much better. So we'll see. Ask us in a year why don't ya.

I've not seen anything official yet.

I hate to speculate on rumors.

The CHL was fun, but i do enjoy the short road trips, kzoo, Toledo .... I will make a few, Cincy is a must do, more because some of my favorite food is there.

I've been to wrangler games and would look forward to that trip, Allegiant would get us close to an everblades game, i have no desire to travel to penciltucky or new york.

Looking forward to jawing with the kzoo fans because we are better than them and they know it.

We will own Toledo.

And if Indy pops in after the building rebuild that will be just great.

Lets just hope the economy can stabilize and grow because it is a lot more fun with teams so close.

Another exciting year to look forward to with the Komets--always keeping things interesting and moving forward! YEAH--let's get another championship from another league and keep our tradition going!

if think it falls in with the frankes master plan of having one aaa  and one aa league. they thought they could start it with their own league(the new ihl) but the economy slumped and all of the partners pulled out. they then looked at the chl as a major player that with the strength of the ks and their partners in evansville and dayton could grow strong and force the echl to merge. but then the chl proved to be a mickey mouse league and now the best bet is to go to the stronger echl with evansville and help strengthen that league.  the chl is now down to  9 teams i think so a stronger and more financially strong echl will force the weaken chl to finally merge with the echl and then we will realize the frankes master plan for one  aa  league.  have four divisions set up geographicly and have a super playoff at the end of the year.  can only help minor hockey get stronger.  hope dayton can pull their act together and come along too!  throw bloomy in also.

With the news of the ECHL this makes me wonder if Indy could possibly get a team in a couple of years when all the renovations are completed at Pepsi Coliseum. The coliseum will hold about 7200 when it's completed and have an upper and lower bowl seating along with a new score board. It would make perfect sense geographically especially with Evansville and Fort Wayne. Not exactly sure on the mileage but at least 4-5 teams within 150-300 miles for Indy if it did ever come about that they wanted to move back to the pro level.

The so-called Master Plan of The Frankes is more common sense shared by many of us for nearly 20 years. Baseball has 3 true minor leagues with a couple of weaker single 'A' levels. Hockey needs a 'AAA' and true 'AA.' as for single 'A' would be for cities/owners that just enjoy the game. It allows for true boarder line players a chance to improve or to play the game they love.
The Southern Professional Hockey League is single 'A' and honestly some CHL teams are boarder line 'A' teams. These two would be wise to merge.
I think fans will see a slightly higher caliber of play in the 'E' over the the 'CHL.' Skating speed will be up a little but there will be more players who can net the puck. There are several players that played the year for the K's don't have the skill to play at the 'E' level.
So that is my belief that is worth less then a cup of coffee says @Ks_StatMan

Living in Indy I can tell everyone that the owners of the Ice are very happy being in the USHL.  They have an agreement with Bankers Life Fieldhouse to play there for the 2 years it will take to renovate the Pepsi Coliseum and are planning on moving back in the USHL when that happens. Sorry to disappoint folks.

So what do I think? I am thrilled that the Komets will be coming to PA. Now if can just get the stinken cow bells out of Reading. Can hardly wait to organize the PA contingent of K fans to show up. Only problem is that as a Boston Bruins fan, no one here will believe I am wearing Flyers colors.

Good move by the Ks going to the ECHL.  How about this for a double Whammy " We are moving to the ECHL and now Head Coach Colin Chaulk with more on the players who will be staying." >>>> Just a thought<<<<
