Hope to hear about some player signings soon. It is just killing me being stuck in the doldrums of the off season.

Since there is no news coming out of Komet land, and since I seem very curious (and anxious) to learn how the Komets are going to build their first team in the ECHL, I read this article thinking there would be some nugget of information therein. Didn't find any , really.
By ECHL rule, the Komets could have announced player signings after June 15th. David Franke stated that probably no signings would be announced until after the 4th of July holiday.
Just for kicks and giggles, I went into the "archives" for both 2011 and 2010. I scrolled down to the corresponding date (June 23rd or whichever thread was closest) and found out that most of the time announcements came much later than my memory recalled. For instance, last season Nick Boucher's signing was announced on June 29th.
Obviously for me to do this required that I must have been bored out of my skull. Funny thing though, as I read the comments I was totally taken aback by the fact of how many people have just plain quit posting. I am aware of all the reasons and have hung through all the changes, but that doesn't mean I don't miss the contributions from mightbite, hit somebody, blueline baby, wendy, runningkomet, snuff, five minute major, and (I apologize for not being able to name everyone, but you get my point) others.
Maybe we all didn't agree on everything, and sometimes the posts got a little tense, but everyone was a Komet fan. It just feels a little incomplete now, especially since enough time has passed to logically judge the results.
If you are curious (and bored enough), then take some time and go back, read the archives, and determine it for yourselves.
