Can't imagine that helped.

Im really sorry to see McGill go...I wanted him to be Schrock's punching bag this season!

Excited for Friday...a bit disappointed that there are about 4000 tickets left for opening night though!! After a hard fought Championship just a few months ago, I think the Komets deserve a sellout on Opening night!!

Didnt they raise prices again? If so, that cannot be helping...

Well, rats! I was so hoping to see Henley kick McGill's butt all over the ice!

From what I can gather (talking to STH's), they have raised ticket prices 6-8 dollars across the board (minus nose bleeds) over the past 2 seasons....  Wonder why 4000 seats still remain?  Look no further than that...

That's what happens when you move leagues.

But AA hockey is AA hockey.

Not good business....  6-8 dollars in 2 seasons would cripple most cities...  Frankes are very lucky there is a devoted following here; but they better watch how far they push things...

Add that to constant concession increases and the herd starts to thin out...

Thin? You mean the diehard STH's will still be there but a price increase would turn off the "casual" fan that is so coveted?

AA hockey IS AA hockey.

Until it comes to the gate, then the ECHL is the greatest hockey ever invented in the history of man so hand over your wallets!

They did have to buy a new franchise from the ECHL, and that wasn't in any budget.

Really, has anything gone DOWN in price the last five years? OK, the last ANY years? That's the way life is. That's why the NHL is in a lockout, or one of the reasons, including how they have to subsidize all their AHL teams.

What people are making for a living is decreasing.....bigtime.  So combine that with big increases in ticket prices and concession prices.....

That equals disaster...OK MAN?

And people are cutting back everywhere....  Soon, outside prices are going to get to an area to where even sports and entertainment budgets for diehards are cut...  Franchises would be wise to take notice and act accordingly instead of trying to gouge even their most faithfull...

Already happening in the NFL, and I think that's part of what NHL owners are worried about. As I said many times, it is usually someone very foolish who buys a minor league sports team. It's a tough, tough business.
