Quad City has turned into a joke. Coach isn't in town, team hasn't practiced, future looks very much in doubt with schedule due to start in a few days. What in the world has happened?
Quad City is blessed with a real nice arena. The Mallards once may have been the posterchild for successful minor league hockey franchises. In the Colonial League, then renamed the United League, they were winners on the ice and at the turnstiles.
Remember when they set a record for consecutive 50 win seasons? They also had some real vocal forum people. Where are they now? Apparently not buying tickets.
Be careful, Quad City, not to lose something you will yearn for in a year or two. No league will take a chance on you. From the AHL to the abyss.

They didnt play their preseason games this past weekend either....
