Before Saturday's home game

North Chrisian Church, 5201 S. Camden Dr., is hosting  a benefit for Memorial Coliseum fan-favorite usher Farrell Hoover who is in need of a kidney transplant. He was up for one previously, but there were some snafus, but now there is a donor, from what I'm told.

The church is offering Nelson's chicken for $6 and with $1.50 you can add a drink, potato salad and baked beans. Can't beat that!

There's also a silent auction and a bake sale in the fellowship hall. There will be signed copies of ``Homecoming Game'' and ``The Lake Effect'' to bid upon along with countless other items.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. What a great way to celebtrate after a big game in Kalamazoo on Friday night!

If anyone knows any more details, please feel free to add in the comments section.

There are two season ticket packages to SaintFrancis Sporting events. All four major sports.

There are also a group of collector hockey pucks. Some very hard to get anymore.

And many other items. All silent auction items will end at 2:00 pm. the winners will be called is they left their phone numbers.

Chicken to go will be outside and quick for just $6.00 you get 1/2 chicken.

Ferrell is a great guy who really appreciates all that is being done for him.
