Good for boththe Komets and the MC! Stability is a good thing! Why is the IPFW agreement 3 one-year agreements and not a three year?

I can guess, and it's only a guess, but it makes sense. So the Komets maintain their seniority when it comes to getting first pick of dates.

Interesting thing is, the Komets lease was always one of those reason's we were told was keeping the Komets from going to a league like the AHL or ECHL.......
Thought the lease was a gem before...this is just gravy...

Does this mean we could see less advertisements on the ice itself? I think the ice looks horrible with everything going on, but I do understand it is a money thing.

Thanks for using our building. You don't have to pay anything... oh, and now we're going to cut you a check at the end of the season for $50,000-$60,000. Why not ask for a county car too? Lol.

The biggest money maker is not lease money for any of the arenas, it is the concessions and parking. Many teams agree to pay a high rent in order to get a percentage of the concessions. Those of you who buy food and/or drinks at the MC can figure out how much profit there is in concessions.
