They have released Colten Hayes and Mike Hoban. Hoban is being assigned back to Dayton of the FHL. Gabe Guentzel has also been recalled by Norfolk.
Komets GM David Franke said he expects defenseman Ryan Hegarty to play Wednesday. The Komets are also getting some more players from Norfolk tomorrow, all forwards. They will join the Komets in Gwinnett on Wednesday and play the two games there this weekend. Franke thinks some of them will then return to Fort Wayne, but he's not sure yet if all of them will.
Eric Giosa was also moved to the 21-day injured reserve list in case they need his regular-reserve spot this week. It's mostly a paperwork move.
Franke said the Komets will have an abundance of forwards.
Hayes is expected to go to Tulsa of the CHL.

Excited about the new forwards, can't wait to see wait type of talent they bring to the K's.
