Maggio suspended, fined

From an ECHL release:

Fort Wayne’s Daniel Maggio has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #151, Toledo at Fort Wayne, on Nov. 16.

Maggio was assessed major penalty and game misconduct for cross checking under Rule #59.5 at 15:04 of the second period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Maggio will miss Fort Wayne’s game against Evansville tonight.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

We always get hosed. Other teams dont get treated like us, they never get fined or suspended

He should get suspended. He cross checked him in the mouth. That's just a cheap shot. He should have taken the penalty already accessed and dealt with it.

Check out the ECHL website sometime. There are fines and suspensions handed out after almost every single game day.
