Tailing the Komets

Who's up next?

With Marco Cousineau needing to sit out a while to heal a pulled groin (and no one knows how long), the Komets need another goaltender. Nick Boucher is probably a month away from coming back to the ice, though he feels great and is walking with no pain.

Gerry Festa is the most-likely candidate has he's playing with Dayton of the Federal Hockey League where he has a 3-1 record, 2.26 goals against average and .946 save percentage. He has 159 saves in only FOUR games. So he's certainly sharp.

Kenny Reiter is up with Bridgeport of the American Hockey League where he has played on game and gave up five goals on 46 shots. He could be playing today against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

From the blog Sounding Off by Michael Fortunato: ``Anders Nilsson was on for the second day in a row. He confirmed what everybody else has been saying: He’s not sure what’s up, either. “We’ve been doing a lot of tests,” he said. “I can say it’s nothing dangerous.” So that’s a little peace of mind, at least, but still, he’s just not feeling right and isn’t sure why.

“I’m hanging in there. I’m taking small steps, trying to get back up,” Nilsson said. “It’s good to be back in there, but I’m not feeling 100 percent. I can’t tell you if it’ll be two days, a week.”
