Tailing the Komets

Couple of notes

As much as we've talked about it the last couple of days, I don't think anyone on the entire Komets' team could have worked any harder defensively than they did on Sunday. I didn't see anybody who wasn't back-checking furiously and saw a lot of players blocking shots, trying up trailers and breaking up passes. That was a pretty impressive effort.

As one player told me, ``We've got three or four extra forwards. You don't backcheck, you don't play.''

The Komets are hoping to have Eric Giosa and Colin Chaulk both back in the lineup for Wednesday. Should make for some interesting line combinations.

We had the best start we've ever had for Komets Kare Package. Usually the first day, everyone says, `Oh, I forgot, and I'll bring it next time.' This time a lot of folks remembered and we're ahead of any previous year we've had so far. Thank you.

Blake, have not seen anything posted by you but watching Kennedy come off the ice in pain it looked like he re-injured what was injured before or it was a new groin issue. It looked like he tried to turn the jets on in chasing the dump- in and thats when the groin goes. Been there- done that.

I hope its not serious but his facial expression did not show it as so. Was hoping to see him get in a groove and too see what he can really add to the team.

I saw the same thing RG2. We'll find out Wednesday how serious it is. It didn't look good.
