I agree. I thought they looked great last night. But if you look at it, in games where special teams play a big factor, we do not fare well. Trenton goes 2 for 5 on their PP and also notches one short handed. Our PP continues to go downhill to the point where we can't even set it up. We are the only team in the league that I have seen that usually can't even set anything up. I would go as far as to say that I bet that if you look at the last 10 games, our opponents probably have close to as many shots on our PP as we do.
I think that we absolutely have the skill offensively, at least, to mount a pretty good PP. I don't know what the answer is but we better figure out a diffent system on our man advantage pretty soon or we will not be very successful in the regular season, let alone the playoffs.
Trenton is a good team. They are disciplined, fast, and finish their checks almost every time.

Did any of the Norfolk players even play tonight? Because they were in vis able. So yes, there's the answer to your question JR. The best line tonight was the Rizk line. Looks like guys left early for vacation by the way they played tonight. Effinger's rebounds are as bad as they were in the playoff series last year. My god they just come off him into the slot. No wonder we had 40 shots every night in the playoffs last season-he gave us 10 more w bad rebounds!
I felt the komets were letting them make to many cross ice passes & Trenton was getting under there skin the whole game ...the komets defense looks sad we need help back there ...the komets got beat by a better team this what we need see more teams like this that can pick us apart then changes will be made ...they looked good against Kalamazoo but we always play them
The power play i say what power play ours has been the same since the 90's I can't understand why they won't just mix it up. Also the lazy lack of effort is bad I am sure sims will say they were tired that is a lame excuse. I hope this new defense man can play we need someone on the blue line to put pressure on our other 6 defensemen

Then why would he sign on the 22nd (according to ECHL transaction page)... and be added to the roster on the 23rd (based on Komets.com roster page)???
If I had to guess based on above info, I would say he signed, was told he would not be in lineup Saturday night and since the X-mas break started after the game Saturday was told he could take off early...???
I'm pretty sure the Komets wouldnt have sent in his signing paperwork and added him to their roster if he had "quit"... They are big on PR and that wouldnt look good...
JR, when it comes out that he has quit and went back to school, I will have to retrain myself from telling you I told you so.
