Your Goalie gets a shut out the night before. So what does Al do?  Puts in the other goalie.  A well deserved loss Al for that bonehead move.

When Reiter started Friday I figured he'd start tonight, however when Effinger pitched a shutout, he earned the start tonight! And the whole Reiter gets so many starts because he's assigned from AHL doesn't fly, we got 41 games in the next 72 nights (or whatever he crazy number is).

Ok, understand the point about the goaltenders. Great Point. How about Henley gets 5 for fighting and a game misconduct for instigating but Orlando has no one getting even a 5 for fighting. (Blake am I reading the gamesheet correctly)?  I have seen this in hockey for a long time. I have no problem with the instigator but you have to at least have 5 on the other side to have a fight.

Even if the other guy is Chicken sh...t. you can't throw a guy without at least 5 the other way.

Pretty good trip for the Komets.  See everyone over the holiday.

You guys have it all wrong IMO.  I think, given how Kenny has played all season and played friday night, I think he should've started saturday as well.  He deserved to play.  You keep your top guys going when he is on a roll.  Effinger has overall, been average this season.  But Al gave Charlie the start, he played lights out, and you want him to essentiall punish Reiter by sitting him?  All Effinger did was step his play up to Reiter's level.  Look at it this way: Reiter is essentially our starter, not because he was assigned here, but because he has earned it over the other guys.  Effinger is #2 at the moment.  Now, your top guy plays great friday, and could and maybe should get to go the next night too, so he can keep his mometum going.  But Al decided to go with Charlie, and he played lights out.  So you say sit Reiter?  What kind of message is that sending to Kenny who has basically stolen games for this team that they didn't necessarily deserve.

As far as the goalies go, the Sunday game was a 3 o'clock game and that's a pretty quick turn around so I have no problem with Reiter getting the start instead of Effinger.

Great point Greg.  I think you either go with the same guy fri, sat, and the other guy sun, or do what Al did and rotate through the weekend.

Plus, knowing you were going to have a tired team playing in front of them, maybe he thought he'd  want the most-rested goalie if possible.

Sorry, but I still believe you ride the hot hand, it's early in the season. This team needs to ride any wave of momentum they can.
