Interesting I wonder if what was supposedly said on the radio the other night had anything to do with this call up? I thing we lost some points there and they left Klotz here I assume.

The Komets released defenseman Tim Priamo before he even skated a game with the team.

From what I understand, Priamo never showed to play here. I also talked to some Wheeling fans while we were at the game a couple weeks ago and Caputi was a problem when he was there also..maybe its a trend for him.

Alot of offense gone......
A 7th defenseman gone (with the toughest part of the schedule coming up)....
18 "healthy" players currently....
Chaulk gone for who knows how long....
Frankes have gotten what they wanted after trashing the affiliation.... Let's hope they know where the offense switch is on some of these under performing forwards because we nee them to turn them to "ON"....

what trashing of the affiliation jr? because franke made an honest statement that a few players are playing for the name on the back rather than the crest on the front? thats a bashing of the affiliation? do you remember what ferguson said when the affiliation was announced? they were interested in ft wayne because they want to put the kids in a winning atmosphere and ft wayne has had a tradition of providing that atmosphere . great , the lasch and caputi kids put up some points but did they buy into the system being taught by the coach? i dont think so and it was real noticeable , especially on the defensive end of the ice. ice hockey is a team game , it takes a team to win championships , not individuals . the rizk, shrock thorne line was dominate in kalamazoo last weekend, because they played the system. not the most talented line, but they were the most dominate friday night .. because they bought in.

I will never understand the Frankes. It is amazing how they have owned this team for so long and have never made a mistake. At least not until they entered into an affiliation with Anaheim. It is Anaheim's fault that Thorne has two goals and Shrocky has three. It is Anaheim's fault that the power play is pathetic, especially from the blue line. It is Anaheim's fault that Smitty is -7. It is Anaheim's fault that the Frankes could not recruit an offensive defenseman.
The truth is that the players that the Frankes recruited have not done the job regardless of whether they have bought into the system. With the exception of Beauregard and Rizk, the players that have put the puck in the net have been provided by Anaheim--Brittain, Caputi, and Lasch primarily.
It is much easier for the Frankes to blame the Ducks and Norfolk than it is to look in the mirror and put the blame where it belongs.

year after year the komets are around 500 at christmas time and right away you armchair experts start bashing the owners and the coach and year after year the team shapes up and makes a 2nd half run and gets a championship. im so tired of the bashing of the frankes. they have a proven track record and if they have a bad year or two, so what? would you rather have a team that never comes close or maybe not even a team at all?? you all wanted and insisted the team move up to the echl and so we did so why dont you give them time to ascess the new league and adjust to it. give me a few bad years in a row then ill bash em too!

Agree chuckitt...100%! Not saying the team doesn't have issueIs but every year it's the same no heart, bad systems, can't compete type of comments after each loss. Then after each win there are one or two positive comments...than nothing until the next loss.

I will continue to bash the Frankes because they deserve it. David Franke goes directly to the media to criticize Lasch and Caputi and making them scapegoats for the lack of effort that the Ks have been putting forth over the past few weeks. Anaheim and Norfolk get pissed off and recall the only two players who have been putting the puck in the net during this period. Then last night happens. The effort is worse. Where was the fire in the belly that David Franke maintained that all of his recruits have? It seems that they do not have it either.
Who put the puck in the net last night? Two Anaheim/Norfolk players. Right now I would prefer to have a team full of Norfolk rejects than one of Franke recruits.

yes the komets have become the yankees of the minor league hockey world. so called fans arent happy unless they win every game. we must learn to be constructive and supportive. we arent going to win every championship or every player isnt going to be perfect every game . only time i will be negative is when guys dont put out an effort. i see on a later post that the people are bashing the guy with the t shirts....now how stupid is that?? the komets bring in another form of entertainment for the fans and people have the gall to bash them for it?? i suppose those same people would bash the famous chicken if he came back? people, its only a game and its entertainment and the komets have given us over60 years of great entertainment, so lighten up and lets talk about lack of effort not trashing people for having a bad few games or a bad season. like henley, not having too good of a season but why throw the guy under the bus when he has meant so much to us in previous seasons? same people will probably start bad mouthing chauk cause hes not helping us right now! i think people need to chill or maybe im just too close to the game to see it from the inside out.

I have no problem with the Komets losing every game as long as they try and leave it all on the ice. That has not happened. Act like you care or get out, I don't care your last name or where you're from. I'm not here to root for individual players but rather the team as a whole.
