Tailing the Komets

Some notes

Don't expect Colin Chaulk to play the rest of this week with his shoulder... Eric Giosa might get to play around Christmas. If this were the playoffs, he'd probably be a gametime decision, but the Komets want to make sure he's 100 percent when he comes back... Marco Cousineau is skating ever day and its getting close... Norfolk GM and Anaheim Assistant GM Bob Ferguson was in the house tonight, as was LA Kings scout Robbie Laird... Komets left immediately after the game ofr Reading... Kenny Reiter was fined for saying something to the referee, Kaleigh Schrock for an equipment problem and Brent Henley for the aggressor penalty, according to Komets GM David Franke... Besides the two goals, Luca Caputi finished with 10 shots.

Liked the way the K's came out in the first period tonight......they finished their checks and won the little battles along the boards.....they were more tenacious and aggressive than they have been at the start of our home games recently.....

Any insight from Bob Ferguson on the game and or players?

Do you know why Klotz was a scratch tonight?

Klotz was a healthy scratch, he's going on the trip... Not much chance to talk a lot with Fergy tonight trying to get video and photos and a couple of other things done as well. I'm guessing the first thing he said after the game was, ``You give that kind of effort every night and you"ll be back up soon.'' That's been the problem.

You could definitely tell the Komets were anxious to play tonight. They charged off the bench and never let Kzoo get out of their own zone the first 17 minutes of the first period and most of the second.

Yeah, I'm going to have to quit doing that. Every time it happens, maybe I have to fine myself $5 for charity or something.
