Tailing the Komets

Couple notes

* Brent Henley's knee brace is broken and the new one has not arrived yet, which is why he has not been playing. It broke Wednesday, they jury-rigged it for Friday's game but was not possible to play on the last two games. Because it's custom-built, a new one should be in early this week.

* Asked Corey Elkins for a comment about his situation with Finland, and he said it's not the time to talk about it now. Everyone is expecting him to be recalled to Norfolk on Monday.

* The players don't know any more information on the NHL situation that you probably do. Every one of them have asked me what I know.

* According to several players, Tyler Butler and Scott Kishel have not been broken up as a defensive pairing. There were a couple of times on Saturday night when they had different partners for a couple of shifts after power plays or penalty kills for the next time out.

* Komets General Manager David Franke on the NHL: ``I don't know anything. Things will start happening tomorrow, and I think this could be a week-long process. It could even be a two- or three-week process. know the NHL teams are meeting now and planning out their training camps. We'll just have to see what happens. Some teams in this league could lose six or seven players, but no one knows anything for sure yet.''
