Cousineau was in goal, not Effinger. The regular players gotta start putting the puck in the net. The Kalamazoo defense is big, our forwards are small. That is a major problem. You can't just skate in and take a shot without getting punished for it. We have gotten a majority of the goals from guys called up from the SPHL and FHL. That's another major problem.

As for the game on Friday. Same thing, Toledo is a big team, they aren't a great team, but our size disadvantage is a huge. Teams can skate in and do anything they want against the smaller Komets.

It's very frustrating to watch

Where is the pride?  The passion?  Komets brand hockey?

This team does not hit...they would rather stick check then takes guys into the boards.  Other teams hit the K's to take the puck away, the Komets try using their sticks to seperate players from the puck.  How many times have you seen K's pull up or turn away from what would be a legal hit???

The guys that do hit consistently are the smallest guys on the team for the most part...  Marino, Wheeler, Dunbar, and Hegarty look to hit someone every shift.  You watch guys who come down from the AHL or you watch NHL games and you see guys playing the body.  I am surprised that marino has kept scoring with what little room he has on the ice.

Speaking of Marino, why do we let teams take so many liberties with our top scorer???  Ftorek last night dropped the gloves and tried to get after marino; but the linesman got in there to stop it...  Did anyone go after Ftorek the rest of the night???  Nope...  Thats a heck of a message to send..."go ahead and go after our leading scorer, we wont interfere..."

This team needs a little "attitude".....  A player "like" Liambas would do wonders for this team, IMO...   A guy that hits like a ton of bricks and has his team mates backs, no questions asked...

BTW, Klotz is o0n his way back per the AHL transaction wire....
